Born on October 5, 1995, in Carson, California, Marcus Tupuola is a rising star in the world of rugby. The 28-year-old athlete, standing at 5-foot-10, is set to make his Olympic debut at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Tupuola's journey to the Olympics is a testament to his dedication and love for the sport. He began playing rugby at the age of 13 with the Southbay Spartans in Carson, CA. He also played football and basketball in high school. He earned Collegiate All-American honors in both sevens and fifteens at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio.

According to Team USA, Tupuola made his national team debut on home soil at the HSBC USA Sevens in 2019, where the USA won their second-ever gold medal on home soil. He was later named to the 2024 Paris Olympic roster.

Off the field, Tupuola is known for his volunteer work within the rugby community and his love for cooking new recipes. His favorite movies are Holes, Roll Bounce, and The Goonies, and he loves celebrating Christmas.

Eagles Rugby reports that Tupuola was born in American Samoa and is the son of Monica Tupuola. He currently plays for the Major League Rugby (MLR) side San Diego Legion.
