LOS ANGELES – The Bulldogs are headed south for a midweek rematch against Loyola Marymount on Tuesday at 6 p.m. PT at Page Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif.

THE REMATCH

The Bulldogs have the opportunity for redemption after falling to the Lions earlier this season at Pete Beiden Field.

Fresno State was neck and neck with the Lions throughout the game until LMU surged ahead, hitting a grand slam in the top of the ninth.

Historically, the Bulldogs have defeated the Lions 28 times and have fallen to them only 17 times.

WE'VE GOT A 2319

The Bulldogs took the altitude by storm in their series against New Mexico last weekend.

Fresno State claimed the series win in the first two games, outscoring the Lobos 35-20 on their home field over the weekend.

The Bulldogs extended their lead over Mountain West Opponents as they sit in first place, four games ahead of second-place Air Force.

THE STAT REPORT

Zach Statzer came in clutch for the Bulldogs last week in their 23-19 comeback win over New Mexico.

Statzer pitched a season-long three scoreless innings.

He allowed only two hits and runs for the Lobos in the high-scoring affair.

He struck out a pair of batters in only 43 pitches in three innings.

He held the Lobos for three innings, allowing the Bulldogs the opportunity to sneak past the Lobos to claim a comeback win.

SOCAL BOYS

Grady Morgan and Rocco Peppi are returning to their home turf in southern California after an incredible week for the Bulldogs.

Morgan, originally from Laguna Beach, went 8 for 17 on the week (a .471 average) with a .824 slugging percentage and a .550 on-base percentage.

Against MW opponent New Mexico, Morgan batted .500, with seven hits, a .857 slugging percentage and a .688 on-base percentage.

Morgan at three doubles, 5 RBIs, 14 total bases, 6 runs scored and a home run on the week.

Peppi, from Huntington Beach, hit three home runs last week, one against Cal Poly and two against New Mexico.

He had seven hits, including a double and four RBIs.
