LOS ANGELES - Fresno State senior utility player Brooke Ochoa has earned Golden Coast Conference Player of the Week honors for the second time this season, the conference office announced Thursday. Ochoa led the team with 11 points in the win over Santa Clara last Saturday.
Ochoa led the team with a career-best 11 points, scoring six goals with five assists to earn GCC Player of the Week honors for March 12. She tied her career-best in both goals and assists against the Broncos. Ochoa scored her six goals on six shots. The senior also added three steals, one drawn exclusion, one field block and had two sprint wins.
Ochoa is the first two-time GCC Player of the Week honoree this season. Her two honors in 2025 are the only ones of her career, despite her decorated career up to this point. Fresno State has a league-leading three players of the week so far this season.
Fresno State is 8-6 overall this season, and 2-0 in GCC play. The Bulldogs return to action this Saturday for a conference matchup at CBU. The Bulldogs return home for the first time in a month to host LMU on March 22 at noon.
