FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State women's golf team is in fourth place at the Fresno State Classic, sitting at 25-over par. Katelyn Lehigh is leading the team, holding third place with a score of 1-under par, after two rounds at Copper River Country Club.
The Bulldogs made a nine-stroke improvement from the first round, shooting 8-over par in round two and climbing the leaderboard.
After shooting 4-over in the first round, Lehigh had a stellar second round, carding a season-low 5-under 67 with six birdies, moving up nine spots on the leaderboard.
Fresno State also had two more golfers in the Top 15: Vunnisa Vu, who is tied for 11th at 6-over, and Amelia Garibaldi, who is tied for 14th at 7-over.
Motoko Sjimoji, competing as an individual, is close behind at 9-over.
Ashley Tarkanian finished the day at 16-over, Genevieve Akers is at 17-over, and Berglind Erla Baldursdottir sits at 19-over.
