IRVINE, Calif. - Fresno State's Mackenzie Miller Lung caps off a successful week of swimming at the TYR Summer Championship on Friday afternoon with a third place finish in the 100-meter breaststroke.
The Bulldog saw her highest finish in the 100 breast with a new personal best time of 1:09.37 to grab the final spot on the podium. Lung out touched Nova Aquatic's Odgers by a 0.26-second difference to claim the final spot on the podium.
Over the week, Lung qualified into the championship final of all three breaststroke events.Easing into the competition week, Lung finished in eighth place in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 32.19.
Lung sat on the outside of the top three seeds going into finals for the 200 and 100 breaststroke placing fourth in both preliminary sessions. Lung matched her fourth place position in the 200-meter breast with a 2:31.30, shaving off two seconds.
