Rich Davis: “It’s interesting. I think 2025 is the right timing. A lot of these young players have more deals than ever with brands on social media, TikTok, Instagram, they’re pimping more products than ever before. It’s a different time. I think this was the right move by Steinbrenner and the Yankees.”
Steve Covino: “It’s a bigger deal because so many people laughed at the Yankees because of that rule. If you’re not a Yankees fan, you still at it like it’s the most outdated policy possible. You and your stupid Yankees rules are so dumb. If I was a young player, I wouldn’t want to play there. As a result, I think it became an uncool place to play!”
