Dan Beyer: “Not only did P.K. Subban name names from the past who brought passion to the All Star game, but he didn’t name names of the current players who aren’t bringing that passion. But we know who that responsibility lies on. It lies on the shoulders of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Steph Curry. The shepherds of the game who are supposed to usher it along to the next generation that have failed to do so with the All Star game.”
Aaron Torres: “He also mentioned that guys used to show up. Play through being banged up. I think we’re past like, I remember even at the beginning of LeBron’s career, he sat out like the final two regular season games after playing in basically every single game and it was a national talking point. Over the past decade, it has evolved into something completely different.”

On this edition of The Doug Gottlieb Show, Dan Beyer and Aaron Torres sat in for Doug and offered up their thoughts on hockey great P.K. Subban’s comments on the state of the NBA All Star Game. The guys lay the “blame” for how the game has changed on the current generation of stars, and how it might be solved!
